Lewis Pies Limited employ approximately eighty six full time members of staff.

The Managing Directors and Bakery Managers/Supervisors have been employed at Lewis Pies Limited for a combined number of 259 years.  The experience of the staff at Lewis’ ensures that quality ingredients are purchased and quality products are manufactured in a food safe environment. 

The Management Team

  • Wilfred Lewis is responsible for production and the general operation of the business
  • His wife Pat undertakes human resources management and the development of internal management systems
  • John Lewis is responsible for sales, marketing and customer care and in addition undertakes general management responsibilities
  • His wife Kim ensures that the necessary food hygiene quality systems are in place and monitored and reviewed as necessary (both Kim and Pat provide in-house food hygiene training and also offer this service externally to other businesses in the area)
  • Department supervisors oversee the production and delivery functions and also cover any staff absences as appropriate
  • Delivery supervisors also visit existing customers in a management support/customer service role
  • A Management Accountant (external) produces a set of management accounts on a monthly basis, to ensure that the directors are continually aware of the financial performance of the business
  • A Telesales Department, operated by trained and experienced staff, maintains a reliable and efficient ordering service – this ensures that all deliveries arrive on time and correct

Production and Packaging

The Production and Packing Department Management teams have been employed at Lewis Pies Limited for a combined number of 153 years. Most of them qualified from Bakery College and started work with Lewis ’ immediately. Their experience allows an acute awareness of the product, ensuring a quality which is second to none.

Wendy's Staff

This Production Managers in the Bread and Confectionery Department. Steve and Ian are qualified Bakers, they have a combined experience at Lewis Pies Limited (Wendy’s Division) of 36 years. Their skill, with the sometimes difficult to handle ingredient, is obvious for all to see in the completed product.
