Firstly what has been happening to us in recent times. Due to good management foresight the company has grown in a quiet and unassuming way through very difficult trading conditions. The recent opening of our new freezer department section has given us first class facilities for the manufacture of our unbaked ‘hot food to go’ products. This now enables us to offer not only our local van retail sales customers an improved service but also our bulk wholesale and distribution customers from the UK and Europe. The new facility has also given us the opportunity to dip our toes in to the frozen retail market.

To complete our factory upgrade we are currently refurbishing the original part of our pre-baked food section, our pre-baked products will be cooled, wrapped, stored and orders constructed under a chilled environment ensuring complete food safety for the end user.

Our office personnel haven’t been left out either, they now find themselves working in a much improved modern open plan office environment.

New Packaging, New Design, New Name

Towards the end of the autumn 2010 we went through a radical change and commissioned Sanders Studio of Cardiff to come up with a new name and image to take the company forward into the 21st century. The result is amazing, the company adopted a subtle name change that saw the founding name of Lewis Pies disappear and the birth of the newly named Lewis Pie and Pasty Co.  Along with the corporate name change comes a new company logo and newly designer packaging which complement our products helping them to stand out from the crowd on supermarket shelves.

New Product Development

We are launching our brand new beef balti sausage roll, a delicious blend of beef, seasoning and spices with a kick. This is going to be available from May 2011 onwards. Look out for a 5inch and 7inch unbaked format for the ‘hot food to go’ markets, plus a 7inch pre-baked wrapped or unwrapped version for the ‘food service’ sectors.  Our quarterly ‘Pastry Profile’ magazine introduced in February 2010 carries a product offer for all retail customers. If you are not receiving this magazine please contact our sales office [01792 579908] and get your name on our mailing list for a free regular copy
