Ingredients

Ingredients are purchased fresh and where possible, sourced from reputable local suppliers. All products are manufactured at the Swansea site and the finished raw items are then baked on the premises.

All meat is delivered unprocessed off the bone to ensure the quality and safety of the products. Meat fillings are made using the company’s own recipes and Welsh meats are used whenever possible. All savoury fillings, including fish and vegetarian recipes, are also made in-house. Pastry is produced on site to a specific recipe and products are prepared, assembled, baked, cooled and packed using a linear process.

Lewis Pies is keen to improve the nutritional quality of our products. With this in mind salt levels in products and vegetarian products has been reduced.  We have recently introduced new software which calculates nutritional information of food products

Recognising the culturally diverse society of today Lewis Pies have also introduced a range of Halal Certified products.

Lewis’ are registered under the Meat Products (Hygiene) Regulations and have been awarded an EEC Health Mark.
